Weeksort

Your inbox and notifications

Everything that happens about your shifts lands in one inbox. What reaches you outside it, and how, is a set of switches that belong to you.

Who this is for
Anybody with an account, staff or manager.

Step by step

  1. The inbox

A week published, a shift moved, a request answered: it is all there in the order it happened. Marking everything read clears the count on the bell.

  2. How you get them

Three channels, each its own switch: in the app, by email to the address you sign in with, and push notifications to the phone app.

  3. What you get

Five kinds: schedules, shift ranking, swaps and cover, time off, and your account. Managers have two more, about requests waiting for them and requests that have moved.

  4. Off means not sent

Turning something off does not hide it, it stops it. If you turn off every channel, Weeksort tells you plainly that nothing can reach you at all — it is allowed, and it should be something you chose.

  5. If your phone is blocking them

A phone can block notifications from an app whatever this screen says. The app tells you when that is what is happening, and offers to open your phone's own settings.

These settings are yours

They follow your account rather than the job, so somebody with two workplaces sets them once and they hold in both.
